Since its inception, British Columbia School is striving to make a transition from content to competencies. This holds more importance in the preparatory stage of a student's life. In the preparatory stage, the students form sound study habits and develop skill sets necessary to operate in social settings. The lesson plans are designed to be more learner centric and exploratory. We do not see the scholastic and co-scholastic subjects in isolation, rather a typical school day witnesses a beautiful amalgamation of all spheres of learning, integrated with each other. Key areas such as mental Mathematics, simple Science experiments, coding and STEM education etc are an integral part of the curriculum. At this stage our aim is to make learning fun and conceptual.
